Welcome to Château de la Preuille – A unique place for a relaxing holiday. This special 144 m² holidayhouse is fully equipped with all the comforts you need.

Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy a memorable holiday in a historic castle. This spacious gîte offers everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Ideal for 4 people with 2 bedrooms, this historic holiday home is located in a separate wing of the castle and has its own independent entrance. If you need more rooms, there are two additional rooms on the second floor of the castle (chambre 1832 & 2019), bringing the capacity to 10 people. Please ask us about the possibilities. Not suitable for people with disabilities.

From July 1st to September 1st, the minimum stay is 1 week with arrivals on SATURDAY. Outside of this period, the minimum stay is 3 nights, with arrivals on any desired day.

What you can expect:

Inviting spaces: Two spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a cozy 57m² living room, and a fully equipped kitchen.
Breathtaking views: From the rooms, you can look out over the moat and vineyards – a unique experience in a piece of history.
Private outdoor space: Enjoy a drink or have a barbecue on your own terrace under the ancient trees.

On the ground floor:

A 57 m² living room with granite tiles and ceiling beams, offering a beautiful view of the moat. Next to the living room is the fully equipped kitchen, featuring a fridge, freezer, oven, electric stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, and more.

The first floor:

A private hallway connects two large rooms, both offering breathtaking views of the moat and vineyard. Enjoy complete privacy in a special part of the castle. One very large bedroom with a double bed is connected to the castle tower, where you’ll find your luxurious private bathroom, complete with a freestanding bath, a large separate shower, and a toilet. Down the hallway, there’s a second bedroom with an adjoining luxury bathroom featuring a shower and toilet.

Tourist tax : 0,85€ p.p.p.n. ( for guests over the age of 18 ). By making a reservation for this gîte you agree with our rental conditions. Please read them carefully before making your reservation. A €200 deposit is required, refundable at the end of your stay (cash). Arrival between 5 pm & 8 pm, departure around 10 am. We will do our best to be flexible. Just let us know.

Wonderful, it truly deserves to be called a little paradise. The undisturbed tranquility, the relaxing pool, our beautiful accommodation, the château pond with its water lilies, ducks, and fish, where we even got to take a boat ride. The stunning variety of trees, the rabbits, squirrels, and Billy, the château cat—everything was so idyllic.

And to top it all off, the hospitality, warmth, and helpfulness of Sandra and Paul. It was an absolute gift to spend a week at the château; we will definitely be coming back.

What a wonderful gîte!
We stayed right in the heart of the medieval castle, what a beautiful location! At first, we were skeptical about how it would actually look compared to the photos, but I can assure you that the place is just as charming as the photos suggest. The rooms are full of character and atmosphere. After a good night’s sleep, it’s such a pleasure to wake up, open the curtains, and have a cup of coffee in hand.
The location is perfect for relaxing, you can truly enjoy the estate. Additionally, you can explore the surrounding villages, such as Nantes or Clisson. We also went to the beach for two days to relax in the sun, so there’s something for everyone.
The hosts are incredibly friendly and always ready to help. It’s also very convenient that they speak fluent French and Dutch, so they can reserve a table for you at any restaurant, which is always handy! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful, unique location in the French countryside. The castle is stunning, and the gîte where we stayed was cozy and equipped with all the comforts. The Dutch owners are very friendly, which made us feel at home right away. It was also a fantastic holiday for our 4- and 8-year-old children. They had fun every day with swimming, feeding the ducks, rowing in the rowboat, bringing apples to the horses, and more. If you’re looking for peace, warmth, and beautiful nature, this is the perfect place.
