The Vendée enjoys the most sun hours per year in France and has a climate similar to that of the Mediterranean region, according to Meteo France, hence, the name “Côte de Lumière” or Coast of Light. It’s an ideal region in which to spend your holiday or weekend trip. In the summer months of June, July and August, the temperatures are steady in the high 20’s, while in Spring and Autumn guests can enjoy a comfortable temperature of around 21°C. Winter can bring cold breezes and rain, but it rarely freezes.
